Due to an internal promotion, manufacturer is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the quality systems and product quality at multiple locations with solid quality records. The Quality Manager will report to a Corporate Quality Lead and work closely with the Plant Manager on quality initiatives and will be responsible for the following tasks:

Monitor and improve the quality systems at multiple locations
Oversee and ensure regulatory and legal compliance, including leading and guiding all direct reports to confirm compliance
Manage and lead root cause analysis and ensure countermeasures are completed
Communicate plant quality KPIs, goals and initiatives to plant management and corporate representatives
Prepare for and execute quality audits
Drive and achieve quality continuous improvement initiatives, including cost saving goals for the plant
Interact with plant and corporate teams on quality projects
Develop and maintain key quality performance indicators
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams related to plant quality
Partner with R&D for on-site trial activities
Execute and improve quality training, including quality orientation training
Complete non-routine quality projects and higher level crisis management
Assist with vendor qualification
Other tasks as assigned by plant management

Candidates must be able to communicate directly and effectively at all levels, be self-motivated, take initiative on projects, be organized, have excellent detail oriented skills and enjoy being hands on in the process. This position is desk driven and will spend up to 15% of the time on the manufacturing floor. Candidates should be willing to oversee multiple sites within three hours of one another. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Manager:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; a science field is preferred
At least 3-5 years in a similar manufacturing quality management position
Experience overseeing others
Experience overseeing quality in blending and/or formulation environments, including chemical, food, beverage or pharmaceutical related industries
Experience working in regulated environments (FDA, GFSI, BRC, etc.)
Strong background with root cause analysis and CAPA (corrective and preventative action)
Strong quality auditing background
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Skills preferred but NOT required:

Quality certifications
Lean and/or Six Sigma
Multi-plant responsibilities
Power BI
Strong background with statistical analysis
