Acutronic is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies for conformance to company standards. Acutronic’s Aerospace Components Division develops and manufactures specialty components for use on unmanned aircraft and weapon systems. These products are used on next-generation aerospace programs and include a range of electric power systems, servo-actuators, micro turbines, and Hybrid-Electric-Propulsion-Systems. Acutronic Aerospace offers standard products and excels at designing highly customized solutions for demanding mission requirements.
Quality Inspector
Your Roles/Responsibilities:
- Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Checks randomly selected samples and verifies the accuracy of equipment or process
- Uses advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct quality programs
- Keeps records and makes reports indicating the results of inspections
- Identifies and marks non-conforming materials
- Removes minor defects such as chips and burrs
- Executes First Article Inspection requirements
- Participates in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) and NCs (Non-Conformances)
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs
- Notifies supervisor or other personnel of production problems
- Reports conditions requiring immediate repair
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- At least two years of related experience, preferred
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments, strongly preferred
- A combination of experience and education will be considered
- Having knowledge in operating and programming CMM is a plus
- Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma is a plus
