Job Description
HSP is seeking a skilled Team Lead, Systems Admin to join our clients team located in Lenexa, KS. The Team Lead maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems. Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance to promote uptime and efficient performance. Acquires, installs, and tests system software upgrades and computer components. Configures software and resolves technical problems. Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures. Provides daily support to the organization related to desktops, peripheral hardware, mobile devices, and software technologies. Interfaces with internal customers by troubleshooting and providing resolution to user desktop issues. Incumbent contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Work is highly independent. Has a team lead role for the work group and works as a specialist on complex technical and business matters.
Pay Rate: $100k-120k/yr
Duties:
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Support the internal development team on server or network-related issues.
  • Provide Tier III support for the Support team.
  • Maintain and update the ticket tracking, asset management, and inventory tracking systems.
  • Provide active directory administration of users, desktops, and file/folder permissions.
  • Responsible for user setups, moves, and system permissions.
  • Administer system and software updates to servers, desktops, and laptops.
  • Troubleshoot failed updates on desktops, laptops, and tablets.
  • Improve the desktop computing environment and processes by proactively researching, testing, and recommending enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Perform preventative maintenance where applicable.
  • Assist with system administrative duties on the company's corporate telecommunication system and Enterprise Contact Center ACD communications system; provide daily support, troubleshooting, and analysis of phone issues.
  • Install and maintain projection and video monitoring equipment in the Call Center, Training Room, and employee break areas; manage security alarm and proximity access card systems.
  • Document internal system infrastructure and workflow processes.
  • As Team Lead, provides technical direction to team on all aspects of functional area and based upon priorities as established by the VP of Technical Operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular, on-site reliable attendance during normal business hours.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for operational support, ensuring the reliability and availability of infra, services and applications.
Education and Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or other technical field of study; or 4 years of technical/IT work experience in lieu of degree. Plus:
  • 10+ years of direct IT experience, including experience in the following areas:
  • Working with IT ticketing tools.
  • IT Help Desk environment.
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows 10/11 administration and desktop networking.
  • Strong knowledge in troubleshooting MS 365.
  • Knowledge in supporting Microsoft Server OS's.
  • Knowledge in supporting Microsoft InTune.
  • Knowledge in supporting MacOS.
  • Local Active Directory/Azure AD administration.
  • Actively monitor the health of core systems, i.e., servers, 3rd party applications, email, and networking equipment.
  • Must have proficiency with networking and understand concepts such as VPN, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, and IP Subnets, along with routing, switching, and firewalls.
  • All offers are contingent upon signing a confidentiality agreement and satisfactory completion of drug screening and background checks. Employer observes federal standards for controlled substances.

  • Certifications in the following technical areas:
  • O365
  • CompTIA A+
  • Slack
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Previous team leadership, supervision, or management experience helpful.

  • Creating, modifying, and running Access queries and reports.
  • Supporting Management with tracking for asset controls
  • Providing end-user support, setting up user accounts, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Act as lead in maintaining the on-premise infrastructure.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods in a stationary seated position, such as working on a computer.
  • Frequently move, transport, and manipulate computer equipment up to 15 pounds.
  • Verbal communication sufficient to exchange accurate ideas and information.
