The Role

A Production Line Associate handles product, raw materials, and finished goods. This position helps with the preparation, assembly, weighing and packaging of products and other related activities including documenting production activities and operating basic machinery in a safe manner.

As Production Line Associate, you will contribute to the Team's efforts in obtaining production efficiencies within company guidelines; as well as following the Health & Safety and Food Safety Programs. As an employee in this role, you will successfully support the company and its goals and your team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follows daily line assignment as directed by supervisor and/or lead
  • Ability to use simple tools and equipment to complete tasks
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking tasks and follow recipe guidelines
  • Ensure daily productivity is completed efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Verify that each finished item meets quality standards of the company
  • Update daily production totals and productivity to include counting, math calculations in order to maintain accurate results
  • Ability to scan and load production records into computer, retrieve information for the network and enter into digital scorecard
  • Load, pack, and seal products into cases and palletizes as needed
  • Inspects production goods, containers, and packaging materials and ensures that they meet company standards
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe food storage guidelines, kitchen health and safety guidelines
  • Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and HACCP logs as required
  • Comply with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Company standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and procedures related to team member safety, and quality programs
  • Perform job tasks in adherence to safety procedures and rules and participate in safety training; Report safety issues, injury, accidents and/or any unsafe conditions to Supervisor
  • Keep work area in a safe and orderly - perform area housekeeping as required
  • Ability to train others and demonstrate best practices
  • Willingness to grow and demonstrate progression in tasks and responsibilities to include rotating jobs and becoming certified equipment/machinery
  • Ability to work independently and well with team members while functioning in a high paced environment
  • Demonstrate a teamwork attitude by respecting and supporting team members
  • Dependable, punctual, on time, and adhere to company attendance policies - Regular Attendance is an essential job function
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Conditions:
  • Read, write, and understand simple instructions
  • Ability to count and calculate simple math equations necessary to satisfactorily perform job duties
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts and tolerate wearing mandatory protective devices when working in high noise level areas
  • Ability to adapt in a diverse fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to detail and effective time management
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50lbs, and may weigh up to 70lbs
  • Able to stand, lift, walk, reach, stoop, bend, smell, listen, speak, and see to perform the essential job duties
  • Must be to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work extended days and possible weekends, be available for call-backs
  • Able tolerate extreme temperatures (cold and/or hot conditions) and wet, humid environments

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED or related experience
  • Ability to perform unit measures, conversion calculations and other mathematical calculations a plus
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team effort
  • Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus


Hourly Rate: Pay is based on experience and starts at $14.50 an hour
