Position: Legal Billing Specialist/Accounts Payable Clerk (2+ years law firm experience)

Sonja Cotton & Associates is currently seeking a dynamic Billing Specialist/Accounts Payable Clerk with 2+ years of experience to join a medium-sized accounting department at a well-respected law firm.

Position Overview:
As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a vital role in supporting attorneys' timekeeping efforts and ensuring seamless billing processes. Your responsibilities will include meticulously editing pre-bills, communicating with clients to resolve any billing inquiries, and handling essential tasks such as emailing or mailing invoices, data entry, verification, and scanning and accounts payable tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Edit pre-bills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client guidelines.
• Communicate promptly and professionally with clients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
• Handle essential accounts payable tasks, including invoice processing, payment verification, and vendor communication.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation for reference and auditing purposes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm environment, specifically in legal billing and accounts payable.
• Proficiency in accounting billing software programs and accounts payable systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
