Cabinet Finisher

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review work instructions for product information and specifications.
• Prep cabinets for finishing using hand tools.
•  Sand o Remove dust from surfaces prior to the application of product.
• Prepare paint for application according to manufacturer's recommendations.
• Stain ▪ Spray ▪ Apply primer, sealer, and painted topcoats.
• Create standard stain samples used to assist customers in the selection process.
• Operate Makor (automated painting machinery) and inspect finished application for quality.
• Regularly inspect and maintain finishing equipment and tools to maximize productivity. ▪ Maintain an organized and clean work area.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to understand and take direction.
• Attention to detail is required to ensure colors and application meet quality standards.
• Knowledgeable in the safe use of equipment such as, paint guns, hand tools, hazardous materials.  
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
• Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team and communicate effectively with other departments and personnel.
• Understanding of necessary mathematics

Education and Experience:

▪ High school diploma or equivalent

▪ Prior finishing experience preferred

▪ At least two years related experience preferred
