Feuer powertrain North America:

We are located in Robinsonville, MS, which is 20 minutes South of Memphis.

We are the US subsidiary of a German-based leading independent producer of crankshafts, "the heart of every engine."

In Europe, we produce crankshafts for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, VW, Audi, Renault, Jaguar, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini and many more.

In North America, we produce crankshafts for GM, Ford, Mercury and many more.

We are now expanding our plant to a new 2nd line.

We are hiring immediately.

SUMMARY:

The Final Inspection Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel and overseeing inspection operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Quality Inspection:
    • Performa final inspections on crankshafts to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
    • Conduct in-process inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process.
    • Communicate non-conformances to operators and provide complete documentation to management.
    • Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints and instructions to comprehend quality expectations.
    • Provide feedback to employees on rework issues and opportunities for improvement based on inspection results.
    • Act as a resource for employees, supporting layout questions, in-process verification, and troubleshooting quality issues.
    • Verify the accuracy of measuring tools.
    • Accurately record inspection results and other verification data into the computer system.
  • Quality Management:
    • Engage proactively with operators to support and promote quality objectives.
    • Oversee and plan analysis, inspection, design, testing and integration to ensure process quality.
    • Ensure the documentation of data obtained during all quality activities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Communicate significant issues and developments identified during quality activities to appropriate personnel and management, providing recommended process improvements.
    • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions.
    • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards, procedures and legal regulations.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Ensure effective and continuous work.
    • Monitor end of line production from the beginning to the end of the shift.
    • Troubleshoot final inspection lines.
    • Sort out and address Kickouts.
    • Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area.
    • Uphold safety standards.
    • Ensure correct packaging.
    • Perform random sample inspections.
    • Act as a point of contact for problem-solving.
    • Take responsibility for quality and piece count.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Represent company during customer visits and act as a knowledgeable contact.
    • Manage the use and completeness of measuring equipment.
    • Report daily during production meeting outcomes, including quantity of OK and NOK parts, and provide detailed explanation for NOK parts.
    • Other tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of product inspection and/or quality experience.
  • Supervisor experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Experience with reading blueprints and using measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. is a plus.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties (8-12 hour shifts).
  • Willingness to step in and perform tasks during personnel shortages.
