Job Summary:

The Stock Coordinator contributes to the overall inventory allocation strategy and helps ensure product availability is optimized to meet customer requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes inventory allocation plan and coordinate with the SY warehouse on product fulfillment, including proactively organizing transfer prioritization for material soon to be delivered.
  • Organizes the daily material transfers of the SY warehouse by creating or building orders based on the trigger or system recommendations; adjusting order quantities on C items; providing tracking, lead time and managing delivery feedback from the warehouses; managing and keeping track of shipping discrepancies; and printing orders and prepping documentation for warehouse staff.
  • Coordinates inventory lead times and backorders between the SY warehouse and our Reliable DCs.
  • Monitors material for high priority orders and keep the team informed to progress.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for inside sales or warehouses regarding any SY material or questions.
  • Maintains backorder report on the SharePoint for sales to reference.
  • Manages sample and replacement shipments for the SY Department.
  • Inputs data into D365 including Landed Costs, i.e. milestone progression updates and entering estimated voyage costs, and D365 manual reservations.
  • Proactively coordinates with inside sales regarding substitutions or equivalent products.
  • Ensures inventory allocation is prioritized by age of order and/or a priority customer.
  • Coordinates Promo OEC444 prompts with SY Data Team.
  • Monitors customer backorders and expediate backordered material with Logistics Coordinator(s).
  • Orders containers of ATR for our high-volume DC's.
  • Processes claim defectives and coordinate credits with vendors and accounting.
  • Tracks vendor lead times for production and transit.
  • Organizes SY UL/FM budget documents and track costs.
  • Uses a supply chain monitoring platform (Panjiva) to monitor and/or report any potential supply chain issues.
  • Contributes to updating weekly reports and other reports as required.
  • Assists with arranging container deliveries and appointment scheduling.
  • Assists with tracking freight costs on domestic LTL/FTL transfers to Reliable DC's.
  • Promotes a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as directed

  • Knowledge of freight carriers, processes, and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP software

Work Environment:

  • Works primarily in a climate controlled office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis
  • Ability to concentrate with various interruptions and various noise levels
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80 percent of the time
  • Occasionally will be expected to lift small boxes not to exceed 20 pounds

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
  • 1 + years of Logistics or Purchasing experience
  • Experience with Panjiva and Microsoft D365 is preferred.
