Logistics Sr. Specialist
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Logistics Sr. Specialist to join their team! This is a climate-controlled facility offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, etc.
Logistics Sr. Specialist Summary:
- 1st Shift
- $55,000 - $60,000
- 70% office, 30% production environment
- Travel as needed
- Weekend overtime for inventory audits
- Overtime as required
- Responsible for establishing and managing the Logistics Working Group. Manages inbound and in-house logistics, including transportation, packaging, cost reduction, and system improvements.
- Oversee inventory cycle counts
- Maintain stock levels for production
- Label and allocate inventory hold locations
- Improve logistics systems
- Resolve inventory discrepancies
- Coordinate with CKD and 3rd party management
- Ensure timely delivery of shipping containers
- Analyze stock levels and communicate with purchasing
- Establish cycle count SOPs
- Manage OS&D process
- Monitor FIFO status
- Maintain warehouse organization and safety
- Collaborate with other departments on inventory issues
- Maintain rack accuracy and logistics documents
- Manage logistics equipment and procurement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Logistics Sr. Specialist Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing logistics (Logistics Sr. Specialist) experience
- Ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering Systems
- Automotive assembly/manufacturing logistics experience
- Knowledge of CAD and CATIA
- Familiarity with Just In Sequence process
- Plant start-up experience
