Tommy’s is a Malibu/Axis boat dealership with a sales department, service center, and wake/surf pro shop. We are located in 9 locations including 3 in Michigan, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada. Gen3 Interconnect is a start-up engineering, manufacturing and supply chain solution provider in the wire harness industry. We are setting up a state-of-the-art wire harness facility with the best equipment available in the market!

Summary 

The Financial Analyst - Intern is responsible for the accounting operations of multiple operating entities to include production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results.

Essential duties and responsibilities 

• Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and other reports required by supervisor and management
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Identify sources of errors in the accounting processes
• Lead process and system improvements in Accounting and Operations
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns
• Make periodic journal entries into Sage Intacct
• Make month-end payroll entries into Sage Intacct
• Clear understanding of cost accounting and financial analysis – an analytical thinker
• Conduct or coordinate audits of company account and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and regulations
• Any other task as requested by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or working towards degree). 
  
• Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office experience required.  Experience with Infor, Sage Intacct, Counterpoint and Pair Soft Paper Save preferred.
