Full Stack Developer

OPEXUS has an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Developer to join our team and help support our customer USAID. Our team supports 80+ COTS customized software and services located in Washington DC. The successful candidate will join a team of 100 team members on a program supporting the operations and maintenance of software applications, databases, and system tools.

This mid-level software engineer will have hands-on development experience and proven abilities to support software activities in an Agile software development lifecycle. We are seeking a well-rounded developer to join an exceptional team supporting and developing a portfolio of applications using a variety of platforms, languages, and databases. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java/J2EE along with other languages, such as .Net, JavaScript, UI Frameworks (React, Angular, Bootstrap). Candidate should possess strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills, enjoy a learning environment and be a US Citizen with an Active Secret clearance.

General Role & Responsibilities:

• Work independently and collaboratively on a multi-disciplined project team in an Agile development environment.
• Contribute to detailed design and architectural discussions as well as customer requirements sessions to support the implementation of web applications.
• Design and develop clear and maintainable code.
• Learn and integrate with a variety of systems, APIs, and platforms.
• Interact with a multi-disciplined team to clarify analyze, assess requirements-
• Actively involved in the design, development, and testing activities for web applications.
• Help recommend strategic architectural and technical directions to our clients.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience developing Java web applications or supporting backend APIs using a variety of frameworks (e.g., Struts, Spring, Grails, etc.).
• Basic knowledge in Relational Databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, Postgres or similar.
• Deployment and troubleshooting of web applications in Application Servers, Apache Tomcat or JBoss.
• Knowledge and experience of web development skills HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to work well in a team.

Desired Skills:

• .NET development including C#, ASP.NET MVC, or Razor/Blazor
• Modern UI Frameworks (React, Angular, Bootstrap)
• Mobile application device management (MDM).
• OpenText Documentum xCP Case Tool.
• Documentum Content Management Platform.
• Front End programming in HTML5, CSS3.
• Drupal and PHP.
• Mobile application device management (MDM).
• SAML and Single Sign On (SSO) implementations.
• MS Azure or AWS PaaS development tools and services.
• Experience with DEVOPS CI/CD tools and automation processes (e.g., Azure DevOPS).
• Experience or skills with other languages and application servers.
