Indoor Playground Attendant

Summary:
The Indoor Playground Attendant oversees patrons' activities in the facility and performs general maintenance duties in the facility. The Indoor Playground Attendant must be an energetic, reliable, friendly and an outgoing person who loves to work with children, in a family friendly environment. This individual is passionate about children by always ensuring that all of our little customers have an awesome experience by abiding by the Indoor Playground rules. This individual must be comfortable looking after kids and leading activities and show great empathy towards children and their parents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greeting patrons, including all children;
• Maintaining a clean and safe Party & Play environment;
• Organize people, room and supplies, keeping areas clean, neat and organized;
• Enforce rules and policies in a tasteful and courteous manner;
• Supervising guests and ensuring safe play;
• Housekeeping and cleaning including collecting trash & cleaning restrooms; and
• Fill out accident/incident reports and other mandatory documentation whenever necessary, in a timely manner.

Education Requirements:

• Must have a High School diploma or higher education.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
• Must have a Food Handlers’ Card;
• Must successfully pass all background checks prior to starting position. Background checks include Drug/Alcohol screening, criminal background check and if handling money on behalf of the Company, a credit check;
• CPR and First Aid certification is required – Employer will pay for CPR AED First Aid course upon hire
• Ability to interact with children and adults;
• Previous work experience in child care is preferred but not essential;
• Should enjoy working with families and have great communication skills;
• Be able to work in an environment with high noise level;
• Must have visual ability to observe activities in the playground;
• Ability to climb on and through equipment for maintenance purposes;
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule with varying hours; and
• Must be able to follow directions and work cooperatively with others.

Physical Requirements:

• Capacity to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing;
• Must be able to walk for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, lift up to 30 lbs., stoop, climb, bend, squat, push, pull, reach and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Have sufficient visual acuity to read various paper documents and information on computer screens.
