Job Title: Lead Utility Associate/Forklift Operator

Job Description: At Retail Rebel, our Lead Utility is an intricate part of ensuring our unique business model inside of our Bin store is running as efficiently as possible. The Utility Lead utilizes the knowledge we provide in training to be used to strategize and maximize sales through our unique processes weekly. The initiative to ensure efficiency, quality and productivity with consistent processes is vital to promoting teamwork along with the team's success. In this position you will be expected to lead the team with positivity to motivate through floor set-up and tear-down, maintenance and janitorial services to the retail stores.

Compensation:

• Starting window of pay: $16.80 - $19.49 per hour and up (based on experience)

• Uses forklift or pallet jacks to stock the sales floor and load and unload trucks

• Delegates and assists the store taking out trash, dusting and mopping store floors, cleaning restrooms and stockroom
• Assist with setting up store displays
• Ensure sharps, foods, cleaners and fragile items are managed at all times
• Must be able to perform general maintenance to the store including patching drywall, fixing minor store issues, changing light bulbs, etc.

Working Conditions:

• Frequent walking and standing
• Frequent bending, stooping and kneeling, merchandise goods, cleaning and load/unload trucks
• Use of merchandise handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, two-wheel dollies, and box cutters
• Proper lifting of up to 40 lbs.; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional climbing (using ladder)
• Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level
• Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Forklift experience, as well as use of pallet jack, required
• Previous warehouse/retail leadership experience, preferred
• Previous maintenance and janitorial experience, preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Understanding of safety and security policies and practices
• Effective communication skills
