JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for participating in all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance of the Fitness Center. Provides safe, motivating, and effective exercise instruction with excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate others.

This Job Description outlines the duties and responsibilities for the above position. The duties outlined herein include: planning, administration, logistical preparation, budgeting, marketing & promotions, instruction, and actual execution of the programs. In no way does this position require any participation in any events and is strongly discouraged.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain a presence and provide customer service at the secondary location
Assist with day to day operations of the fitness center; Communicate issues or complications directly to the Fitness Manager
Incentive Programming
Group exercise class instruction-teaches a minimum of 5 group exercise hours per week
Wellness Initiatives (bulletin boards, newsletters, lunch n learns)
Health Education and Promotion
Fitness Assessments, Fitness Center Orientations, Exercise Prescriptions and Equipment orientations
Membership retention/enrollment
Floor supervision and equipment maintenance
Managing our social media profile on Facebook

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

∙ Perform other duties as assigned

∙ Fitness workouts

∙ Emergency protocols

QUALIFICATIONS

∙ BS in Exercise Science or related field

∙ Experience teaching group exercise classes, or interest in learning

∙ Personal training experience preferred

∙ Must have current CPR/AED certification
