POSITION LOCATED IN NORTH PORTLAND - COLUMBIA BLVD & I-5

TRUCK MECHANIC - Tuesday - Friday Second Shift - 12pm-10pm

2+ years minimum of diesel Truck/Trailer mechanic experience required (Tanker trailer a Plus).

The position is Full Time working 40 hours per week. Mid Shift starting between Noon and 2 PM Tuesday – Friday.

Qualifications to succeed in this role, the mechanic will have the following qualifications:

2+ years minimum of diesel Truck/Trailer mechanic experience required (Tanker trailer a Plus).

-High school diploma or equivalent required

-Vocational or Technical certification preferred

-Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required

-Truck/Trailer electrical troubleshooting skills, welding skills a plus

-Hydraulic and AC experience a plus

-Must be a self starter requiring minimal supervision with a sense of urgency to accomplish tasks

-Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Valid driver's license / Willing to obtain a CDL with Hazmat endorsement (Paid by Company) Must stay with company 2 years or pay back clause.

-Must have own hand tools

-Pass drug test and complete background check

While performing the duties of this job, the mechanic will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The mechanic is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The mechanic may be required to navigate under and in tight spaces in order perform repairs. The mechanic must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
