TheSenior CAD Designerwill be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the drafting department. The ideal candidate has a strong background in drafting techniques, project management and team leadership.

Senior CAD Designer Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement efficient drafting and design processes and workflows to streamline project delivery and improve productivity.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
• Coordinate drafting and design efforts across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze project specifications, blueprints to accurately estimate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely availability of materials.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities.
• Develop and enforce data standards, guidelines, and processes to maintain high-quality product data.

Senior CAD Designer Requirements:

• Degree in architectural drafting, applied science or a draft and design program strongly preferred.
• 7+ years experience in drafting services and a strong background in CAD software and drafting techniques.
• 2+ yrs. proven leadership and management experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of project management tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
