Job Description

The Home Supervisor supports the clinical and programmatic activities of Hope & Home by working directly with licensed foster families. Home Supervisors support families by helping them navigate the foster care system, supporting them, and aiding them in meeting the needs of children placed in their care, with the goal of placement preservation. Hope & Home emphasizes importance on training, guidance, and support provided to foster families, which is accomplished directly through the Home Supervision Department.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Caseload Management:

  • Manage a caseload of foster families who provide placement or respite care to children removed from their home due to abuse and/or neglect (Home Supervisor caseload = 20 families with children placed)
  • Complete monthly home visits ensuring compliance with Volume 7 Rules and Regulations and Love to Nurture parenting (in addition to all State, County, and Hope & Home requirements)
  • Build relationships with families to serve as an ally, navigator, therapist, and expert guiding them on their foster care journey
  • Conduct SAFE addendums at least annually for each foster home
  • Work closely with Family Care Coordinators, Hope Workers, and Support Group Leaders to support families and children in the Hope & Home community
  • Participate in group and individual supervision meetings and trainings as scheduled

Paperwork Compliance:

  • Complete monthly reports for families and children within 48 hours of any home visits.
  • Monitor required documentation completion by families
  • Report all incidents and critical incidents to manager immediately
  • Complete all renewal documents, to include education documents, with families
  • Complete intake paperwork for all children placed on caseload
  • Work closely with Family Care Coordinators to ensure compliance, completion, and submission of paperwork for all files
  • Audit all files and communicate with families regarding paperwork needs.
  • Maintain the case files for all families

Support Group:

  • Co-facilitate support groups for foster families at least twice per month in the evening

Events:

  • Participate in family and child centered events throughout the year as specified by events team and manager.
  • Participate in fundraising events as specified by events team and individual manager.

Other:

  • Participate in required training as specified by manager
  • Complete on-call duties as assigned by rotation
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in social or behavioral science, required.
  • Case management experience required
  • Flexible and coachable
  • Professional and mature demeanor
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize duties
  • Able to work well with others
  • Efficient and thorough
  • Good computer skills

  • Possess a valid Colorado driver's license and automobile liability insurance with a reliable and consistently available vehicle

Please Note: Hope & Home’s benefit package is contributory. An employee is responsible for a portion of the monthly premium automatically deducted from the employee’s paycheck.

Salary Range and Employment Status:

$45,000 per year ($21.63 per hour), non-exempt

  • Northern Colorado - Castle Rock to Boulder: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
