Product Quality Technician

Job Title: Product Quality Technician (Inspection and Support)

Department: Engineering/Technical Services

Accountability: This position reports to the Technical Service Manager

Responsibilities:

• Customer Returns:
  • Support diagnostic, repair, and testing services to meet organizational needs
  • Document receipt of all customer returned product
  • Provide product inspection, test, and evaluation services on returned product
  • Identify and confirm customer complaint(s) related to returned product
  • Document all findings (ERP/CRM database entries, capture/save pictures, etc.)
  • Communicate new and/or unique findings to team (email and database systems)
  • Escalate findings related to product/customer safety (as required)
• Pre/Post-Sales Support:
  • Support Havis initiatives and Customer Service expectations
  • Assist Technical Support with test set-ups (as needed)
  • Support Demo order fulfillment from MI-Warehouse
  • Track all demo sales requests from MI-Warehouse (incoming and outgoing)
  • Track all demo returns coming back to MI-Warehouse; document findings, refurb units, restock for new demo orders
• Inventory:
  • Receive/transfer inventoried items (as needed)
  • Support monthly cycle counts on high-use components

Requirements:

• Ability to work a reliable, full-time schedule Monday – Friday (first shift, in office)
• Ability to make individual contributions to collaborative efforts
• Ability to maintain effectiveness with changing priorities/assignments
• Ability to learn, understand, and apply new information and techniques
• Ability to maintain data entries utilizing various CRM and ERP database tools
• Appreciation for attention to detail, accountability, self-motivation, self-awareness
• Appreciation for policies/procedures and ability to follow instructions/take direction
• Effective communication skills and professional attitude
• Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly and production techniques (preferred)
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic principles and test methods (preferred)
• Hands on experience with electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment repair (preferred)
• Employee must regularly be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
• Employee must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
• Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus
