Jet Machine builds kits for JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicles). JLTV aims to provide vehicles that are more robust and better equipped to handle modern threats, including improvised explosive devices (IED's) and provides enhanced survivability, mobility and versatility for military operations. Jet Machine also provides specialty metals to customers in the Defense, Aerospace and Oil & Gas Industries. Most recently, Jet Machine has started working with CAT to build armored vehicles such as excavators and front loaders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assembler is responsible for reading blueprints and assembling heavy equipment and parts according to an instruction manual. Responsibilities and job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for assembly, installation of assigned electrical components and assemblies on both the interior and exterior of the vehicle
  • Coordinate with the mechanical assembly team for the vehicle build sequence and completion schedule
  • Support and participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues within assigned areas of the build and be required to maintain quality and schedule
  • Assemble products using power tools and hand tools according to specifications
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams and assembly is required
  • Set up assembly job by locating parts and gathering materials by work orders
  • Inspect final products for quality and ensure they meet the required standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is in a clean and orderly condition
  • Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety guidelines


EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience in assembly or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions
  • Previous experience in welding or electrician work is desired
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with or knowledge of manufacturing practices
  • Experience using precision measuring tools
  • Experience reading blueprints and follow work instructions
  • Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects/components, frequently 25 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
  • This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, walking, stooping and handling materials
