Job Description
Salary: $35-$40/hour

Swimlane is seeking a Contracts Specialist consultant to join our team.  This position will primarily assist our Sales Operations team by providing Swimlane and customer document management, as well as assisting with the sales process and contract management. This position supports the sales team throughout the sales cycle process and plays an integral role in maintaining corporate governance for sales transactions.  This is a part-time position with the expectation of providing services to Swimlane less than 20 hours per week each week.  


The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong critical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. They will have a strong sense of accountability and resolve issues proactively. They will utilize their legal expertise and keen eye for detail to further customer services and efficiency.  This is an exciting opportunity for a business-minded person looking for the opportunity to contribute to the success of all divisions of our business.


Responsibilities: 

  • Drafting legal documents including internal agreements and agreements for customers
  • Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, and other legal sources in order to make informed decisions when preparing and reviewing legal documents
  • Ensure compliance and best practices when reviewing and preparing legal documents
  • Reviewing documents to make sure our terms are incorporated into all customer documents
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure all relevant terms and conditions are incorporated into our documents
  • Manage version control between customer and Swimlane
  • Partner with customers and business development team to track contract expirations and update accordingly 
  • Liaising effectively with various federal and state jurisdictions to ensure compliance and address any regulatory inquiries
  • Assist with RFP needs as requested
  • Assist with security and compliance questionnaire


Required Skills/Abilities/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years of related experience required 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, processes, and other related matters
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercises discretion and good judgment


Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience: 

  • Paralegal certificate preferred
  • Experience setting up a document control system to manage document version
  • Familiarity with the Enterprise SaaS/B2B Industry - Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations or Pricing experience
  • Salesforce experience

The pay rate for this role is $35-$40/hour and is dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
