Job Description

 Our client is looking for a full time Licensed Clinical Therapist for their PHP/IOP/OP facility in Centennial, CO.

The Licensed Clinical Therapist will provide substance abuse counseling services including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, long-term counseling, psycho-education, case management, advocacy, and follow-up. 

Your responsibilities would include to:

  • Work with physicians and other personnel in client evaluation and treatment to further sobriety
  • Perform intake, evaluation, orientation, admissions, treatment planning, counseling, documentation, discharge planning and referral of substance abusing clients
  • Provide services planned to restore the client to optimum social and health adjustment;
  • Assist client and family, through individual, group, family, and/or couples therapy
  • Maintain case records and urine surveillance system
  • Complete/assist in the completion of Utilization Reviews insurance companies to obtain authorizations for clients (conduct ASAM evaluation)
  • Assess all assigned clients to determine the presence and extent of substance abuse issues; completes an evaluation report and presents cases during weekly supervision and case presentation;
  • Develop and documents individualized treatment plans that address the needs of substance abuse client population;
  • Recommend treatment plans for clients to the Facility Director, Clinical Director, and any other outside corroborating providers;
  • Refer clients to appropriate treatment modality based on assessment;
  • Collect statistics as required for reports;
  • Prepare required reports and paperwork in a timely manner;
  • Develop and facilitate process groups and educational programs;
  • Develop and facilitate process groups and educational programs for Family Programs;
  • Identify opportunities for program improvement and Quality Improvement monitors;
  • Participate in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices;
  • Work cooperatively with the on-staff Medical Director, Psychiatrist, Certified Nurse Practitioner and medical technician;
  • Understand and be prepared to provide services to clients experiencing co-occurring disorders;
  • Be familiar with psychotropic medications commonly used in the treatment of addictions/co-occurring disorders;
  • Provide education and counseling of process and behavioral disorders;
  • Ensure compliance with legal issues including but not limited to client confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations;
  • Exhibit a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with clients, families, and other personnel;
  • Adjust to fluctuating peaks in client flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality;
  • Participate in weekly individual supervision;
  • Participate in scheduled case review meetings and peer supervision;
  • Develop and implements an appropriate, effective and evidence-based curriculum;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Director and Clinical Director.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience working with ASAMS 
  • Must be willing to learn and ask questions, accept feedback and be accountable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work collaboratively with multiple health and criminal justice professionals using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

    Required

  • Master’s Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a substance abuse agency
  • LPC, LCPC, LSW or LCSW

          Preferred

  • CADC
  • EMDR certification
  • DUI certification
  • Art Therapy certification
