Graphic Designer - Production Specialist

Production Specialist for a Sign CompanyImage360 is looking for an experienced Graphic Design- Production Specialist for our location in Lombard, Illinois. This is a full-time position. We are seeking a great team player with Problem Solving and Customer Service skills.The Graphic Designer - Production Specialist is responsible for producing all graphic design and job layouts in compliance with the work order specifications and/or manipulating customer artwork/files to become compatible with the center design and RIP software. This person will also assist in making the actual sign and graphics projects, taking the project from start through completion. In addition, this team member will be responsible for equipment operation to plot vinyl, print wide format images/graphics, and laminate specified jobs; perform daily and weekly file storage and system maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum productivity; troubleshoot minor problems with computer systems and workflows, as necessary; and assist on specified sign order deliveries and graphic/signage installations at the client’s site.Applicants must live in Lombard, IL or the surrounding local areas.Responsibilities:• Provides client education on proper submission of digital files• Supports Customer Service to answer customer questions and inquiries• Operate plotter, laminator, and wide-format equipment to produce client jobs• Operate sign cutters, saws, drills, and other sign-building equipment as needed• Operation of sign center installation vehicle to perform signs and graphics installations off-site• Clean and maintain all equipment, and workspaces• Quality Control and Product review to ensure customer satisfaction• Participate in daily production meetings• Work with management to reschedule workloads as necessary to meet promised due datesThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed. You will be expected to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested by your supervisor.Qualifications:• Graphic Designer’s Degree from an accredited institution (Preferred)• Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design and production (Preferred)• Current driver’s license and clean driving record• Knowledge of sign industry substrates, media, and products is a plus• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal• Sharp attention to detail/keen multi-tasking abilities (to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage products and services)• Experience in the wide-format printer and Onyx RIP operation• Familiar with color management concepts and procedures• Strong problem-solving skills (to be flexible, creative, and spontaneous; not just wait for others)• Creative hands-on person, comfortable with your hands, tools, printers, and computers• Enjoys interacting with people, always willing to learn, help, and get the job doneExpertise in the following software applications:• Adobe Creative Suite – current version (Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat, InDesign)• Microsoft Office – current version (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)• Gerber Sign SoftwareAbout Company: We are a part of a national sign and graphics organization, in business for 30+ years providing solutions for our B2B clients both large and small.
