Tax Paraprofessional

Are you ready to take your tax expertise to the next level? We're seeking a skilled Tax Paraprofessional to play a vital role in our dynamic firm. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to manage client tax compliance needs for multiple partners, all while providing exceptional service and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance and training to streamline tax compliance tasks within the firm.
• Manage Tax Portal Access, ensuring smooth client interactions and document management.
• Prepare extensions and handle e-file rejections with precision and efficiency.
• Research and resolve tax return issues, IRS notices, and extension rejections promptly.
• Handle Quarterly Estimated Tax Payments and Franchise Reports accurately.
• Prepare state annual reports and franchise tax reports for various clients.
• Complete Power of Attorney forms and retrieve necessary tax information from county and IRS sources.
• Assist partners with various IRS forms and compose professional tax notice response letters.
• Maintain a deep understanding of e-file systems and utilize tools like XCM for efficient task management.
• Coordinate mailing administration and manage client relationships with professionalism and care.
• Contribute to special projects aimed at enhancing client engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 7 years of Administrative Assistant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in corporate and personal tax preparation, research, and extension filing.
• Attention to detail.
• Forward-thinking and takes the initiative.
• Experience with CCH Axcess and/or XCM a plus.
