Heavy Equipment Technician / Class A CDL Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician / Class A CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of various types of equipment as well as delivery of equipment to customer job sites. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, gas, and electrically operated construction equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose equipment problems, propose the best possible solution, and perform the work needed to solve the issue.
• Troubleshoot using hydraulic and/or electrical schematics.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, skid loaders, roll-off trucks, etc.
• Pressure wash, clean, and perform pre-start checks to ensure machines are prepared for rent.
• Prepare equipment inspections for shipping and receiving.
• Load and unload equipment and deliver to customer job sites.
• Complete required paperwork necessary to complete work assignments.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
• Perform all shop and yard housekeeping policies & procedures.
• Adhere to and comply with all company safety protocols, regulations, and procedures.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Mechanical trade school training or 1+ years of heavy equipment repair.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Class A CDL License is required.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions effectively.
• Proficient in performing routine maintenance tasks on various types of equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance, bend, stoop, reach, crawl, climb and work on feet for long periods of time.
