Consultant - Client Programs & Systems (Remote)

The Consultant – Client Programs & Systems is a critical resource of the ZBeta LabZ program and will both engage on individual projects and contribute to the development of overall program capability and maturity. The Consultant acts as a leader amongst ZBeta LabZ team members and will manage and execute consulting projects of varying scope and complexity. The Consultant – Client Programs & Systems is a subject matter expert in physical security programs, systems, and solutions and engages both internally and externally, working collaboratively with other LabZ consulting and engineering resources, with project and production team members, and with client personnel. The Consultant – Client Programs & Systems will help grow, mature, and optimize the LabZ program by contributing to the generation of new technology ideas, toolsets, and approaches to help solve the security and business challenges of ZBeta clients and the physical security industry.

ZBeta is a remote-first company with a distributed team. This role is open to individuals based in the United States.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Strategic Consulting: Lead and manage consulting project efforts of varying scope and complexity, to include the following: physical security vulnerability, threat and risk assessment; physical security program evaluation and assessment; security program future state planning and road-mapping; security policy and standards development; security operations consulting; security technology evaluation and selection; security systems functional and logical architecture development; and security program optimization planning. Author, review, and oversee the production of report and presentation documents for client projects, including the following content: assessment and research findings; study analysis results and conclusions; and program and technology options and recommendations.
• Internal Consulting: Assist Client Partner’s with the on-boarding of new clients and engagements. Provide technical and topical consulting support and expertise to ZBeta project managers and design engineers to execute client project deliverables and commitments.
• Research & Development: Conduct research relevant to consulting efforts: interview stakeholders; survey facilities, systems, and operations; obtain and analyze client data; read and analyze literature, publications, case studies, and other sources of topical expertise. Capture, document, and present research data in appropriate written and visual formats. Lead the development of and author content for client program objectives, use cases, business requirements, functional requirements and technical requirements related to security technology selection, installation, and operation. Develop and author content for solutions and options that meet objectives and requirements, and create frameworks for options evaluation, prioritization, and recommendation.
• Program Development: Contribute to the development of the ZBeta consulting process, approach, tools, and templates. Help maintain consulting program libraries, templates, and knowledge bases and identify opportunities for improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of ZBeta consulting services delivery.
• Business Development: Support new business acquisition activities and work with the Chief Growth Officer, Client Partners, and Leadership team to identify business opportunities with existing client engagements, identify new client leads and opportunities, and participate in the development and delivery of sales presentations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of physical security industry-related experience, including three years in management required.
• Proven track record in leading, managing and developing a team, including implementing training programs and developing templates, technical specifications, and design standards.
• Extensive physical security industry and technology experience, with a demonstrated track record of designing, developing, and implementing successful security programs and technology solutions for end users.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to listen, communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders both verbally and in written form.
• Demonstrated ability to envision, plan, and author high quality report and presentation documents for client management and executive audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to identify critical path activities, prioritize tasks and deliverables, and realize consistent progress.
• Occasional travel may be required.
