Senior R&D Chemist

A Senior R&D Chemist at Goodier has extensive formulating experience in Skin Care, Sun Care, Hair Care and OTC products and can handle the daily demands & responsibilities of the R&D Lab. In addition, this position requires a collaboration and customer mindset to support Goodier commercial and client objectives. Goodier requires a formulation expert with an innovative and growth mindset who embraces challenging client and internal briefs. Essential duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and implementation of both new & existing formulas and procedures.

• The ability to adapt and change quickly in response to new situations and demands.

• Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Accurately maintains lab notebook and closely follows stability on lab batches.

• Excellent creative & analytical problem-solving skillset.

• Work collaboratively within R&D team and with internal cross functional partners.

• Collaborate with external partners (clients, suppliers, vendors, universities, institutes, etc.)

• Develops their own approach for the delivery of the project. Makes constructive contributions to product formulation.

• Determines stability of the formulations and ensures commercial feasibility.

• Follows projects from prototype development through manufacturing.

• Contributes to creating comprehensive manufacturing instructions for 1st time Scale-Up batches and any other critical batches in production and oversees any deviations.

• Works directly with the Director of R&D on any assigned responsibilities as per business needs.

• Keeps laboratory management informed of project progress. Make project direction recommendations.

• Ability to function independently and maintain confidentiality.

• Participate in company sponsored events to support the overall work culture of the organization.

• Maintain professional demeanor and always keep in mind organization values and visions while dealing with internal members of other departments and external suppliers/clients.

Qualification Requirements

• BA/BS in Chemistry or related Life Sciences or BE/BSc Chemical Engineering or related Engineering disciplines preferred

• 6+ years of formulating experience; contract manufacturing formulation experience preferred

• Bench experience in personal care industry (Skincare, Suncare, Haircare) preferred with an understanding of OTC regulations for cosmetic products
