FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICAN -1st SHIFT

Essential Functions

• Inspects building, structures and equipment to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and/or needed repairs, making notes and recommendations using a pre-established check sheet.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not limited to repair or replacement of fixtures, switches and outlets, incandescent and florescent bulbs and tubes, ballasts, sockets and fuses.
• Performs minor plumbing and pipe fitting maintenance including replacement or repairs to fixtures that are leaking, clogged or otherwise inoperable. Installing and maintaining metal gas, air and water pipes.
• Performs painting, carpentry and/or masonry work including using brush, roller or sprayer to paint, stain or varnish, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles.
• Reconfigures, installs, positions and remounts’ modular offices and space, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, file cabinets, etc. Uses hand and power tools appropriate to the task.
• Maintains parking lot and sidewalks year-round. This includes in winter time if snow or ice is present.
• Works on and maintains fire alarm system.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC.
• Excellent planning, organizational and oral and written communication skills

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• 2 year degree or certification in industrial maintenance preferred
