Cloud Systems Engineer with DRB Systems (Remote)

DRB Systems is a growing and vibrant software company in need of a Cloud Systems Engineer. DRB Systems (“DRB”) is the leading provider of technology-enabled devices and software solutions to the North American car wash industry. As a Cloud Systems Engineer, you will manage and support numerous systems that are critical to DRB daily operations and to end customers businesses. This is a hands-on role, where you will work closely with other Cloud Systems Engineers, QA, Engineers, Product Managers, external vendors, and end customers.

What will our Cloud Systems Engineer do?

• Manage server performance, reliability, scalability, and security aspects for all DRB Systems hosted applications to ensure 24 x 7 up-time
• Maintain close relationship with 3rd party hosted solutions providers and data centers
• Optimize for scalability, efficiency, and maintainability in cost-effective and practical ways
• Responsible for the development of legacy web applications, internal analytics tracking, queries and tools for viewing and analyzing captured data
• Responsible for administration of current and future internal web applications, hosted products, storage solutions and related systems
• Work with engineering teams in the design of new products and the re-architecture of existing products to improve reliability, scalability, and cost
• Explore new technologies that could help improve hosted product offerings to DRB Systems’ customer base

The right candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Network Administration or closely related field
• Proficient in Microsoft operating systems. Advanced knowledge of computer hardware including network setups
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience managing AWS systems and LAMP stack
• Strong communication and customer service experience
• Aptitude for learning new software programs
• Skilled in troubleshooting using analytical thinking
• Detailed oriented
• 2+ years of professional work experience in computer networking and server administration

Preferred but not Required:

• AWS, networking, or related certifications
• Experience with or ability to learn basic software development with scripting languages used commonly for systems administration
