Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant position located in Dover, NH is responsible for managing cost accounting systems and analyzing manufacturing expenditures. The role involves producing detailed reports to support operations and sales, collaborating with various teams for insights and improvements. This job consists of travel to our four facilities (IL, NY, PA. NH) but will be based out of our Dover, NH location.

Cost Accountant Responsibilities:

• Leading annual planning and reporting processes for manufacturing cost accounting.

• Preparing monthly operational reports and cost analyses.

• Reviewing cost trends, researching variations, and recommending responses.

• Analyzing daily operating performance to identify issues promptly.

• Collaborating with managers to develop improved reports and understand inventory transactions.

• Reviewing and suggesting additional operational reports to assess financial implications.

• Suggesting projects for operational improvements and assisting in software implementation.

• Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, proficiency in MS Excel, strong analytical skills, integrity, and excellent time management.
   

Cost Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

• 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, specializing in manufacturing cost accounting.

• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

• Strong time management skills.
   

Cost Accountant Details: 

• Pay Rate: $55K-$65K/year

• Schedule: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
