For over 30 years, Granada House has served as a recovery facility for the treatment of substance use disorders. In the near future, Granada House will be splitting into two locations (one for male-identifying clients and one for female-identifying clients). We are looking for a clinical director for the new women's program. The Granada House mission is “to help residents live productively and achieve long term recovery. We use a holistic approach; physical, mental, and spiritual with a strong emphasis on social inclusion with regards to racial, ethnic, socio-economic status, disability, health, and sexual orientation. Clinical Director:

The Clinical Director is responsible for supervising the implementation and delivery of clinical and case management services and integration of clinical services that are consistent with regulatory standards and evidence-based approaches to SUD treatment. With the Program Director, the Clinical Director plans, implements and evaluates services to ensure that all standards necessary for accreditation are met by the agency.

Job Description/Specific Tasks:

  • The Clinical Director ensures that (1) treatment services are delivered in accordance with evidence-based practices and relevant regulations;(2) clinical services foster an atmosphere of customer service and excellence in service delivery; and (3) clinical staff are highly trained and proficient in the delivery of clinical services.
  • Provide ongoing clinical documentation as required by the insurance companies and state agencies.
  • Manage referrals and notifications (coordinate with the Program Director and the Intake Coordinator). Maintain and grow affiliations within the local community’s social and public health agencies, community partners, and state departments as appropriate and per state licensure regulations
  • Utilize clinical assessment to assign new clients to appropriate SUD and psycho-educational groups and appropriate counselor designation within 24 hours of intake.
  • Provide clinical supervision, training, and direction for counselors. Ensure that clients are seen weekly and provide backup if counselor not available. This includes audits, observation of sessions, review of documentation and other supervisory activities to assure quality of care standards. Assure that counselors operate within their scope of expertise and practice.
  • Participate in interviews and hiring of prospective clinical staff.
  • Maintain all client records to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.

Oversee that the content is appropriate (clinical focus, goal directed, measurable

goals, ASAM criteria etc.). Ensure that all clinical documentation completed in a timely manner.

  • Oversight of groups. Ensure appropriate content, attendance and logs.
  • In-service: plan and conduct/schedule In-service training as required by the regulations and as needed by the staff.
  • Crisis intervention: On call responsibilities. Coordinate with the Program Director.
  • Maintain a limited number of direct service counseling clients and lead two groups & a staff meeting weekly.
  • Manage and streamline administrative processes and requirements in consultation with the Program Director and the CEO.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO

Qualifications:

Required:

  • LADC I or other independent license (LICSW, LMHC, RN).
  • Master's degree in one of the following disciplines or closely related field: social work, counseling, clinical psychology, education-counseling, medicine, mental health, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling.
  • At least two years full time equivalent year of clinical experience in a supervisory role.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must display the use of appropriate independent judgement to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
