Maintenance Mechanic Industrial Sewing Machine

We are seeking an Industrial Sewing Machine Mechanic to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define, create, perform, and control tasks for plant industrial machines, including but not limited to sewing, quilting, and packing, ensuring effective safety, proper performance, and high-quality production of mattresses.
• Maintain records of machine downtime/uptime and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) for all operations equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, and create databases for equipment and spare parts, maintaining minimums to prevent a loss of efficiency and production.
• Establish and maintain contact with machine manufacturers to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ensure facility security, including AC systems, offices, and common areas.
• Develop and execute a yearly facilities maintenance plan.
• Maintain an accurate plant layout.
• Oversee new equipment installation.
• Possess working knowledge of electrical installation at 120-240V and related maintenance.
• Have forklift experience and be internally responsible for forklift testing and qualification.
• Other related duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of mattress construction and/or sewing & quilting machines, bagger, and packing equipment.
• Critical thinking skills, a desire to learn, and the ability to operate in a diverse, fast-paced team environment are required.
• Working experience with electrical systems, electrical and ladder logic schematics.
• Hands-on experience in welding.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
