Cutting & Layup Team Lead

Job Summary:

Cutting Team and Layup Team Lead is responsible for leading the cutting team and organizing the layup room, Dry Oven, Large and Small Autoclave & Hot Press Prep.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Scanning all M1 travelers and maintaining documentation accurately for cutting and defects.

· Making sure each employee follows the instructions printed on the JOB TRAVLER.

· Making sure all materials are put away and organized in a 5S manner.

· Ensuring all new hires are trained to the CCI WORK INSTRUCTIONS and Company SOP’s

· Requiring training audits to assure that each employee is performing tasks to CCI WORK INSTRUCTIONS

· Maintaining the flow of travelers and keeping documentation organized. Certifying that the information on the JOB TRAVLER is understood and all instructions are communicated to each work crew.

· Ensuring all hazardous waste and prepreg is properly disposed.

· Ordering and inventorying parts needed for layup area.

· Keeping machines well maintained with operator level maintenance.

· Supervising operations within a facility to achieve higher output.

· Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires

· Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility

· Ensuring all assigned tasks are effectively and efficiently completed.

· Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals set by the Production Scheduler.

· When production meets delays it’s the TEAM LEADS responsibility to notify the Production Manager.

· Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.

· Maintaining communication between employees and production manager to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.

· Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources

· Responsible to meet KPI’s set by Production manager.

• Daily Pieces produced on Layup table.
• Molds are prepped and ready for jobs when called for in the schedule.
• Cylinders are pulled into production 24 hrs. prior to scheduled layup.
• Scheduled Incoming inspection with Quality.
• Cleaned
• Prep
• Once completed – Schedule outgoing inspection w/ Quality.
• All scheduled jobs are loaded into assigned assets per job traveler / schedule.
• Dry Oven
• Autoclave
• Hot Press
• Prep for loading.
• Clean after unloading and have prepped after unloading.
• Responsible for the organization and flow of materials through all freezers (building 12 and building 25)
• Unloading CCI truck when material (prepreg and resin) is delivered, stored properly in a timely manner.
• Notify quality as soon as a defect if found on any MOLD.
• Work closely with Furnace Room Lead to ensure all jobs have correct JOB Travelers attached.

• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produce
