Job Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Probe, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. Your primary focus will be on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring high-quality product results, and enabling design for manufacturability in new designs. You will provide technical guidance and support for solving complex manufacturing problems and coordinate the orderly transition and installation of new processes with a Lean Manufacturing approach. Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products
  • Create BOMs and routings for newly released Part Numbers and revise BOMs and routings when processes are updated and/or Lean Manufacturing efforts create increased efficiency of the manufacturing steps
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to improve process capability, quality, and manufacturing readiness
  • Identify and develop collaborative solutions for production workflow issues, such as production bottlenecks, level loading, and machine reliability
  • Design, develop, test, source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for new or improved manufacturing methods
  • Make key decisions, resolve issues, and oversee projects to shape manufacturing success

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Manufacturing Engineering preferred from an Accredited University
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of machine design, welding processes, and special processes (coating, grinding, elastomer mfg, painting, bonding, etc.)
  • Strong team leadership skills, be a self-starter, innovative, and able to work with little or no supervision
  • Ability to implement SPC
  • PC skills including AutoCAD (Mechanical Desktop a plus)
  • MS Office suite software experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Manufacturing experience, or Lean Green Belt/Black Belt certification
  • Understand GD+T and dimensioning
  • Oil & Gas manufacturing experience


Duty Hours: Day Shift, Monday-Friday. Full-Time position.
