Job Description

The Finance Specialist will support the finance team in managing finances for an organization. This includes financial planning and analysis, managing financial transactions, preparing monetary reports, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Some of the key responsibilities and duties of a Finance Specialist may include but are not limited to day-to-day activities. The role will also involve managing a team of finance and accounting professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare bank reconciliation and report cash position daily.

• Prepare AR report and reconcile collection to outstanding balance.

• Review AP invoices and general ledger and make necessary payments to vendors.

• Manage, review, and pay all company credit card transactions.

• Regularly monitor Income statement and balance sheet accounts

• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining and reconciling accounts.

• Perform day-to-day accounting bookkeeping activities.

• Respond to questions from employees and support and guide accounting policies and procedures.

• Support to perform Month-end closing activities and help to update assigned financial analysis reports.

• Respond to questions regarding the external auditor’s review and year-end audit.

• Perform additional duties and special assignments as required.

 

This position has no managerial role.

 

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. Participation in events (trials, DOE, etc.) on the production floor is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The associate must frequently reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.

Monday-Friday, core work hours 1st shift 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This position may require overtime work during month-end closing.

 

Required Education and Experience

 

•Bilingual- Korean/English

• 0 - 2 years of work experience is preferred.

• Proficient in Excel skills is a plus.

• Bilingual in Korean/ English is preferred but not required.

• Applicants must be detail oriented.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with an eye for detail.

• Knowledge of accounting software, including Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, or other accounting software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Well-organized and timely in performing tasks to meet deadlines.

• Experience in cash management, bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable collections.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and business is required or 2-3 years' experience required.
