On Time Logistics located in Newark, NJ is looking for a Container Drayage/ Intermodal Dispatcher.
The candidate must have good logistics knowledge, excellent communication skills, a positive team player attitude and the ability to multitask.
Daily duties would include but not be limited to:
- Searching load boards to negotiate and obtain loads.
- Utilizing the different port websites to check and keep track of each container available. Dispatching all drivers, keeping track of all pickups and deliveries.
- Maintaining TMS system up to date at all times.
- Monitoring ELD logs via Keeptruckin dashboard.
- Communicating with all customers and drivers in order to ensure the best possible customer service.
- Distributing all assignments and deliveries to drivers.
- Provide all necessary paperwork to the drivers for each pickup and delivery.
- Reviewing driver logs and time cards to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor equipment operations and report any necessary maintenance or breakdowns that occur.
- Utilizing the different port websites to check and keep track of each container available.
