Job Description

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Supports Company operations by performing all tasks at the customers home/work site as determined in the scope of work. These duties and necessary functions are to be performed safely, professionally and in a timely manner to meet our customer expectations and provide excellent customer service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:

  1. Run and bury low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns.
  2. Assembles lights and mounts them in prescribed locations, mount transformers and connect wire runs.
  3. Safely operate a variety of tools including hammer drills, power drills, saws, grinders and other tools as required.
  4. Safely climb and utilize ladders to perform necessary installation tasks.
  5. Clean up of all areas affected by the installation and perform maintenance on all Company tools and equipment used daily on work sites.
  6. Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to service clients.
  7. Operate company vehicle in a safe manner, maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Notify management of any vehicle accidents, malfunctions or damages.
  8. Learn and understand different light fixtures and lighting methods to be able to identify additional lighting opportunities for clients.
  9. Sustains a work environment that builds positive professional relationships, accepts accountability, demonstrate excellent customer service. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to complete scope of work. Provide customer with system orientation as applicable.
  10. Speak with client to inform and educate about additional products and services available.
  11. Prepares and correctly completes any work order documents or reports.
  12. Accomplishes organization goals by following required best practices. Promptly inform Installation Supervisor or Franchise Owner of any team member injury, issues/disputes with homeowner/Client, damage to structure, or company tools/equipment.
  13. Update job knowledge by participating in training, successfully pass internal COLT (Certified Outdoor Lighting Technician training, follow all company polices, safety rules and procedures including all highway traffic laws.
  14. Receive oral and written instructions Installation Supervisor or Franchise Owner.
  15. Perform other duties that may be assigned.

  • Self-motivated, with a dedication to apply new knowledge to your job.
  • Be available to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Limited Voltage Certification a BIG PLUS!!!

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School degree or equivalent and/or
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a customer service related industry and
  • Computer skills, with knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record, and other pre-employment screening.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift & carry items up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling the handling of materials.
  • Stand or walk for periods of time.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch in awkward positions.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
