AIRPORT ASSOCIATE
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
$17.25 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provide courteous, efficient customer service to tenants, fuel patrons and the general public.
  • Assist with record-keeping, including documentation and data entry.
  • Handle billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide fueling services, following safety and environmental protocols.
  • Execute clerical duties as directed by the airport manager.
  • Employ independent judgment in decision-making situations.
  • Operate point of sale software efficiently to process service requests.
  • Respond to fuel and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Carry out clerical work in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Type documents, letters, and reports with proficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain established files and records, ensuring information is up-to-date and organized.
  • Perform routine receptionist functions, including greeting visitors and managing inquiries.
  • Assist the manager in organizing and coordinating projects
  • Prepares and processes airport council agenda items and transcribes minute of all board meetings
  • Maintains all airport files by posting to various departmental records
  • Schedules meetings and appointments for the airport manager
  • Operates the airport Unicom radio and performs as dispatcher to all mobile units
  • Prepares departmental payroll reports to be turned into the finance department
  • Receives incoming telephone calls and visitors and if necessary refers callers to other city departments or employees for assistance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • General knowledge of accounting practices.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Possess a working knowledge of office practices and procedures and departmental rules and regulations
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed
  • Ability to establish and maintain complex clerical records and appropriate filing system
  • Ability to meet the general public well and to deal effectively with their questions or problems
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and employees and officials of other
  • Ability to operate fueling equipment, park aircraft, and fuel aircraft
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.
