We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various types of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. This is a critical role that requires precision and attention to detail.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:35 AM- 2:15PM

Salary: $25-$36 p/h depending on experience
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications of mold/ die designs and plan sequence of operation
- Verify that molds and dies are produced according to blueprint specifications
- Operate tool room equipment proficiently including manual surface grinders and mills
- Perform mold maintenance as required
- Set up and operate metal working machinery of all types to produce mold/ die components.
- Read measuring and testing instruments
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Polish finish grinds and assemble molds and dies
-Other duties such as mold/ die repair may be assigned
Experience:
- Must have previous experience as a mold / die maker and be skilled in the operation of lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other related equipment.
- EDM and CNC experience
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and measurements
- Knowledge of metal cutting machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for the effective manufacture of metal parts
- Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- The ability to design and build electrodes and layout all stages of the mold build with limited supervision.
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret sketches and engineering drawings. Must be able to read blueprints
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Completion of an accredited toolmaker apprenticeship program.
