We are currently seeking Portuguese Translators!

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Interpretation and Translation

• U.S. citizenship
• Candidates MUST have at least 1 year of professional translation/interpreting experience on their resume. Language proficiency alone is NOT sufficient. Volunteer interpreting for a school or church or interpreting for family/friends is NOT sufficient.
• It is preferred that candidates possess documentation to show proficiency in languages other than English. If documentation is not available, candidates might be asked to complete a proficiency test.
• Proficiency in reading, listening, and comprehension of the source language with the ability to transcribe the foreign language, summarize, and gist.
• Must be willing to get a background check.
• Must be able to perform interpretations in a quiet environment free of distraction.
• Must have reliable phone service for telephonic interpretations.
• Must be comfortable using computer camera capabilities to carry out video interpretation.
• Performs duties related to interpreting/translating as assigned.
