This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our automated manufacturing processes. What You'll Do:
- Applicant must have completed the Automated Maintenance Mechanic (AMM) program at the OWATC or Bridgerland.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on automation equipment to prevent downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and programming faults in automated systems.
- Update and modify robotic systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed.
- Collaborate with the engineering and manufacturing teams to enhance machine efficiency and safety.
- Document maintenance procedures and maintain inventory records for spare parts and supplies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest in automation technology and continuously seek ways to improve processes.
- An HND, Foundation degree, or degree in Engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation fields.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong foundation in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and manufacturing information systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.
