Job Description

Location: Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ

Compensation:

$90,000 - $130,000 yearly DOE

Responsibilities:

As the Quality Control Manager/Site Safety Health Officer in Tucson, AZ, your responsibilities will include overseeing safety and occupational health management on the construction site.


  • Perform quality control inspections, communicate deficiencies, and ensure completion.
  • Implement the USACE QA three-phase inspection process and manage RFIs with government agencies.
  • Conduct safety meetings, attend pre-construction conferences, and enforce Accident Prevention Plans.
  • Develop and review preconstruction safety submittals and ensure subcontractor compliance with Activity Hazard Analysis.
  • Conduct continuous safety inspections, investigate mishaps, and track safety deficiencies until resolved.
  • Maintain safety documentation, hazardous chemical lists, and subcontractor submittals.
  • Manage project closeout information and update project documentation using RMS and Procore.
Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30hr
  • USACE CQM Certification
  • EM-385 1-1 40hr
  • Experience with Procore
  • Experience with RMS
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF 
  • Experience managing USACE (United States Army Corps of Engineers) Projects
  • 5 years of progressive quality control construction experience
  • 5 years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/managing general construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls)
  • 5 years of experience on similar projects with EM 385-1-1 work experience
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.


Working Conditions

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
