Ivy Energy is at the forefront of multifamily solar billing and is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Utility Coordinator to join our team and help shape the future of solar energy. This role's effectiveness will be evaluated based on meeting timelines and completion ratios for utility company processes utilized by our organization. We are looking for an ideal candidate who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a robust understanding of administrative tasks.

Moreover, we seek someone who is enthusiastic about streamlining operations and who takes pride in optimizing processes for efficiency. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and effectively, contributing to the overall success of our team and company.

We are remote-friendly but also have a great office environment in downtown San Diego and a hub in Salt Lake City.
Job Duties:

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on utility coordination processes used by the company
  • Gain an understanding of utility organization, including roles and standard communication methods related to utility administration processes
  • Support internal teams with form preparation and submissions, project-related work, and third-party communication with utility companies
  • Keep utility form versions current for processes managed by this role
  • Work to improve and optimize Ivy's operations regarding utility-involved processes within the company's onboarding and operations workflow
  • Support requests to and from utility companies the company operates with
  • Upon reaching growth milestones, take on responsibilities for training and supporting other team members in a similar role
  • Oversee and conduct direct phone call communication with utilities on behalf of company clients for authorized account changes


Requirements
  • Strong self-organization skills
  • Ability to maintain composure while tracking multiple communication threads digitally and verbally
  • Proficient in time management with a clear understanding of personal bandwidth
  • Attention to detail when performing multi-step tasks
  • Prior work experience preparing, executing, and submitting documents
  • At least 2 years of experience in a coordination or operations role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with utility companies or municipalities
  • Experience working in a startup or SaaS environment
  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, ZenDesk, or other similar tools
  • Prior success in managing third-party relationships for an organization
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting utility data, reports, and documentation
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs.
