We are seeking a skilled and experienced MW HVAC Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, you will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal environmental conditions for the cultivation and processing of cannabis. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, with a focus on energy efficiency, temperature control, humidity regulation, and air quality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Design, install, and maintain HVAC systems tailored to the specific needs of cannabis cultivation and processing facilities.
- Collaborate with other facility maintenance personnel to address overall operational needs.
- Offer expert technical advice and guidance to the facility teams, ensuring the successful development and delivery of products and all technical processes safely followed.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards for environmental control.
- Provide hands on service for large scale site projects in emergency situations.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure consistent functionality.
- Work closely with site facilities, cultivation, general managers, and other stakeholders to define site project requirements and prioritize engineering tasks.
- Monitor and control environmental factors, including temperature, humidity, and air circulation, to create optimal conditions for cannabis cultivation.
- Implement automated climate control systems for precise management of environmental variables.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the company's products and services.
- Continuously review and optimize engineering processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Maintain accurate records of HVAC system maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Generate reports on system performance and energy consumption.
- Ensure the engineering team adheres to quality standards and best practices, performing regular code reviews and testing.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- This position will require a minium of 50% travel to IL, MI & OH.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience 12+ years in engineering leadership roles, preferably in Commerical/Industrial Facilities, HVAC & Controls .
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Commerical/Industrial Facilites, HVAC & Controls.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire the team to achieve their full potential.
- Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Agriculture & Software is a plus.
- Full knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to always keep the facility at 100% compliance, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulations.
