Cloud Data Architect - 53452

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our largest clients for a position of Cloud Data Architect, to work in Illinois, Chicago.

Responsibilities:

Data Architecture Design:

• Design and architect data solutions in cloud environments, leveraging AWS and Snowflake.
• Develop data warehouse architecture and concepts to meet business requirements.
• Define data modeling concepts and architecture for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Establish data structure and architecture for optimal performance and scalability.

Certifications and Expertise:

• Obtain and maintain certifications in AWS, Snowflake, and data warehouse technologies.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud data architecture.

Cloud Data Technologies:

• Utilize database experience to implement and manage databases in cloud environments.
• Implement Snowflake concepts for cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
• Design and implement AWS Data Lake solutions for efficient data storage and processing.
• Implement ETL processes using tools such as Informatica, Datastage, or AWS Glue.

AWS Services and Architecture:

• Design AWS architecture for data solutions, including AWS RDS (Relational Database Service) and DynamoDB.
• Implement and migrate data to AWS platforms, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
• Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, Kubernetes, and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) for scalable and resilient data solutions.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and concepts.
• Proficiency in data modeling and data structure design.
• Experience with databases and cloud data technologies, including Snowflake and AWS.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Datastage, or AWS Glue.
• Familiarity with AWS services and architecture, including RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kubernetes, and EKS.
• Certification in AWS, Snowflake, or other relevant data warehouse technologies.
