SLPA School Based Position, St. Francis County

Therapeutic Focus is a family-oriented outpatient pediatric therapy clinic seeking a highly motivated, passionate, coachable, tech savvy and creative Speech Language Pathologist (Speech Therapist) to join our growing team.  Our mission is to alleviate cognitive and developmental deficiencies in children by providing safe, ethical and individualized treatment services that will prepare them to thrive within society. We provide outpatient and school-based therapy to children in Arkansas and Tennessee.

We are currently looking for an in person Full-Time Speech Language Pathology Assistant to work in a school in St. Francis County, Arkansas.

Qualifications

•Must have graduated from an accredited SLPA program

•Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation

•Basic Internet navigation skills

•Valid state and national license (where applicable)-ABESPA and ASHA Certifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to understand and prepare moderately complex written materials, such as patient records.

• Ability to communicate verbally with teachers, physicians and other outside professionals.

• Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment.

• Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of work flow.

Key Job Responsibilities

•  Implement treatment programs that: 

1.  Are planned and designed by the SLP to meet pre-established goals, and
2.  Contain pre-established criteria for mastery 
3.  Record, chart, graph or otherwise display data relative to client performance 

• Report changes in client performance to the SLP having responsibility for that client.
