As Sr QA Engineer you will be the lead of a decentralized QA team that delivers strength, stability with a strong directive of speed to market. ShiftPixy is a house built on cutting edge technology and speed to market. Our QA Resources are ones that can see both the interaction on how an end-user may work with the product suite and have a deep understanding of technology. What you would be doing:

Be the lead of testing automation architecture
Lead the development of a dashboard and reporting for testing automation
Create a strong process around automation test planning to disseminate to the QA resources
Understand project objectives, confirm the requirements, design test plans quickly and, troubleshoot issues
Technical savvy to understand why an issue is occurring - if possible - down to the exact line of code
Understands and is able to review repository (Gitlab) to pull code from branch/master/etc. for validation and research
Be the QA resource that knows how to document where the current status of the QA team is, and if asked to deploy immediately what risks may come with that request
Understand the balance of the level of QA needed for the first iteration of a feature compared to future updates
Able to balance the correct level of automation with minimal test management but maintain strong regression stability
Apply new-age QA principles to develop a clear test plan that resources can tackle easily and quickly
Owner of the end to end automation testing that is constantly being reviewed for legibility, minimal automation blocking deployment issues
On-going process improvement to ensure test planning, execution and reporting is effective
Cultivate a culture of quality across the entire organization
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
Solid or Dotted-line leadership to Jr. QA and QA resources
Moderate knowledge on development workflows – CI/CD / GitFlow /
Strong API validation and automation creation
Strong Lambda and serverless automation
Javascript understanding to diagnose and create automation to create
Experience with Ionic Mobile app automation testing
Deep understanding of data testing and data integrity
Hands-on experience testing applications for a variety of smartphones and tablets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Unparalleled attention to detail
Experience designing and developing test automation frameworks
BDD (behavior-driven + keyword frameworks and methodologies)
RESTful web service testing experience
Browserstack experience
Experience at a startup or similar fast-paced tech environment
