Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with an eye for detail and excellent time management skills and preferably someone with a military, first responder, or law enforcement background. The ideal candidate is directly responsible for using Adobe Illustrator to timely and accurately create custom templates in and operating class 4 laser engraving machines to engrave templated designs on various products and materials.
Must be organized, resourceful, have impressive critical thinking and time management skills, and be detail-oriented. The ability to handle complex machines and tools with a willingness to lead by example in the workplace is a must. Successful candidates will thrive in an ever-growing, fast-paced environment, have exceptional communication, willing to take the initiative, and be prompt and reliable.
What We Expect of You:
- Manage customer orders in the queue based on age and priority status.
- Identify overdue or potentially overdue work orders and prioritize accordingly.
- Read and understand customer orders, ensuring orders meet character count and image specifications.
- Proof customer custom orders for spelling errors or missing information
- Set up orders utilizing standard PC equipment with the addition of ezCAD and RD Works.
- Create custom design templates based on customer specifications utilizing Illustrator.
- Vector custom images utilizing Illustrator and/or Photoshop
- Operate and maintain one or more class 4 laser engraving machines per the standard operating procedure.
- Analyze and set up equipment based on product and order specifics, following brand standards for consistency, accuracy, and quality.
- Meet productivity requirements and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality that exceeds high-quality standards.
- Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
- Administer end-of-day maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to good warehousing practices and safety standards.
- Aid other departments during lulls in your day.

Job Requirements
- Veteran/LEO/First Responder background (preferred)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of computers
- 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, Laser Engraving, CNC Machine Operator, or Graphic Design preferred
- Proven experience working with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, preferred
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics
- Strong analytical, comprehension, and computer skills
- Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.
- Able to follow instructions, use independent judgment, sound reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Resiliency: respond well to constructive feedback
Requires the ability to:
- Adhere to time & attendance policies, procedures, & work area schedule
- Must be able to traverse the production facility
- Tolerate cold and hot warehouse environments and varying noise levels.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift
- Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
- Frequently required to sit, climb (stairs), walk, stand, bend, and stoop.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to read, compose written correspondence, hear, and communicate verbally.
- Regularly lift and move objects 10-60 lbs., and occasionally lift and move items that weigh more than 80 lbs.
