Company is a very fast paced machining operation looking for a qualified Maintenance Superintendent. Responsible for supervising several Maintenance Supervisors and 20-25 Maintenance Technicians. See Job Description:

Position Summary:

Plan maintenance activities and manage the execution, corrections, and completion of the plan through personnel management.  Develop predictive maintenance repair plan / schedule. Analyze planned maintenance activity to ensure completion of work meets expected results. Verify the quality and quantity of subordinate maintenance member’s work. Conduct assessments of required skills and demonstrated performance of maintenance team members. Provide training and development plan to improve skillset of team members utilizing internal resources as much as possible.  Analyze technical downtime to develop corrective actions Preventive/Predictive Maintenance techniques to ensure execution of tasks by the maintenance team to identify and repair machinery issues before they impact production up time.

 

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Require a safety culture behavior of all direct reports.  Assist in the development and enforcement of safety regulations, programs, and policies. Support efforts to implement corrective actions and remain in compliance. Including:

o   Lock Out Tag Out documentation and training compliance

o   Hot work Permitting

o   Control of Combined Space activity (permit & non-permit required)

o   Abnormal Work Job Safety Analysis before beginning work.

·         Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment

·         Efficient use of resources and establish priorities to reach desired objectives

·         Track the key performance indicators of the Maintenance System.           

o   Technical downtime

o   Preventive maintenance effectiveness

o   Labor utilization and overtime

o   Spare part inventory

o   Obsolete part mitigation

·         Lead problem solving to eliminate significant events and correct negative trends in technical downtime

o   Share knowledge throughout stakeholders through documented problem solving and work instructions

·         Create skills requirement assessment of maintenance activities

·         Develop a training and development plan for the maintenance staff so that the performance of required skills needed to carry out maintenance jobs is conducted safely and effectively

·         Continuous improvement of the preventive maintenance program utilizing SAP

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an Associate’s Degree combined with commensurate experience in an industrial technology may also be considered

·         A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an industrial supervisory or managerial capacity

·         CNC and/or Spray coating experience a plus

·         Training in electrical, PLCs, mechanical, hydraulic, and safety regulations

·         Training and execution in reliability maintenance preferred

·         Basic first aid training or willingness to complete such training

·         Computer skills with experience using MS Office, etc.

·         Experience with SAP preferred

·         5 or more years’ experience in a ‘heavy manufacturing’ environment preferred with special consideration given to foundry experience

Additional Skills Desired:

·         Highly collaborative team player

·         Organized self-starter, highly-motivated, goal-oriented

·         Ability to work independently when required

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to communicate in German a plus

·         Proven project management and problem solving skills preferred

Physical Requirements:

·         Ability to lift 50 lbs. on occasion

·         Ability to work in a hot environment and/or adapt to drastic temperature differences

·         Ability to walk and/or stand constantly throughout shift

·         Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, etc.
