IV Nutrition Northwest Arkansas (Rogers, Fayetteville)

Position: IV Technician 

Pay: $25/hour + tips and commissions

IV Nutrition provides vitamin and nutrient therapies in a clinical but spa-like environment. Our clientele include those seeking simple hydration, as well as others with complicated medical histories. Not only do we offer IV and IM injection therapies, but Semaglutide for weight loss and Functional Blood Wellness Panels.

IV Nutrition NWA is seeking a full-time IV Tech to join our team. We have a GREAT culture, amazing clients, and great hours. We are open Monday-Friday 9am-7pm, Saturday 10a-6p, and Sunday 12-5p. We are looking for someone who can dedicate 36-40 hours per week, with some flexibility for scheduling. IV Tech shifts are generally 8-9 hours in length.

Full-time employees are also eligible for Blue Cross/Shield Medical for individual or family, Delta Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and an employee discount and allowance for services.

You DO NOT have to possess a background in nutrition! We will train you on the job for whatever you may need to know. You just need to bring your IV skills, a great personality, high levels of empathy, and a good sense of humor. 
 

The position is straightforward and includes the following responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Greet clients in a warm manner, tending to their needs.
  • Learns to operate POS and charting system efficiently.
  • Assess the client’s physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc.
  • Identify contraindications to intravenous therapy for the client.
  • Take client’s vitals as needed.
  • Administer IV’s using aseptic technique to prevent infections.
  • Administer IM injections.
  • Attach infusions to saline locks.
  • Adjust drip rates as needed.
  • Monitor the client’s response to treatment.
  • Manage and prevent infections.
  • Documents interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment.
  • Perform phlebotomy as needed.
  • Helps to keep the clinic clean and supplies stocked.
  • Assists with inventory as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned. 
 

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

 

Credentialed as either an RN (Registered Nurse) or Paramedic with active unencumbered licensure. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two years minimum of Vascular Access or Infusion Experience needed 

Strong Venous Access Skills Including Ability to Access Peripheral Veins

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records and Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice Functions

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

The employee is regularly required to type continuously throughout the day.

The employee is regularly required to use their hands to type and maneuver a mouse.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts).

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will work eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts Monday-Friday and occasional weekends required. General clinic environment with climate control. Adequate lighting.
