Inventory Supervisor

We are seeking to hire a Inventory Supervisor within our Logistics team!

The purpose of this role is to ensure Phillip Jeffries is optimizing stock levels, minimizing losses, and supporting the organizations overall supply chain objectives. This role will report to our Warehouse Manager and will be onsite Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm

What you will be doing:

 Inventory Cycle Counting

• Collaborate with management to develop effective cycle counting strategies aligned with our inventory plan.
• Oversee and delegate cycle counting activities to staff members.
• Actively participate in cycle counting efforts.
• Report cycle counting metrics to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of approved stock check requests.
• Continuously improve cycle counting processes to align with our company’s vision.

Inventory Reconciliation

• Monitor the Inventory Variance Power BI report and address any discrepancies.
• Research and identify corrective steps for inventory variances.
• Align physical inventory with our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and NAV system.
• Investigate customer order-related variances and resolve them promptly.
• Establish best practices for prioritizing variance reconciliation.
• Collaborate with management to enhance reconciliation processes.

Inventory Analysis and Root Cause Investigation

• Delve into the historical data of inventory movements and transactions.
• Identify the origins of variances to inform proper reconciliation procedures.
• Track and analyze variance reasons to inform strategic decisions.
• Deploy root cause analysis techniques to address underlying issues.
• Think creatively and explore solutions beyond department boundaries.
• Leverage inventory data to optimize storage, replenishment, and discard decisions.
• Assist with data exports for distribution activities like slotting and re-ranking

Must have:

• 5+ years experience in inventory control/management
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices 
• Proficiency in using inventory management software such as ERP and WMS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
